I was a customer of the original owners for over 10+ yrs. New Punjab had the best Indian food I've ever tasted. I gave this place a try and to say the least I was beyond disappointed. The thing about Indian food is the flavors are supposed to send your taste buds on a trip across the world. So savory and delicious. This new owners food taste like an American attempted to make Indian food. I could literally cry over New Punjab not vetting who they sold too.
I got the Chicken Tikka Masala with kabobs and naan. The flavor was not the same as it was with New Punjab. The kabobs were more juicy and flavorful. The chicken was bigger, less oil and better flavor. The naan had a slight metallic taste. This was a step down from the previous owner. Please try to take it back to that level somehow.
Went to Khusbu today and got the Kala Bhuna along with Beef Tehari. The food me reminded of my mom's cooking back home in Bangladesh. It's pretty rare that you get to see Bengali food sold anywhere. I decided to come where with my friend the moment I saw the items. The owner was really good and personable he gave us Malai Tea on the house for us. I recommend you to come here for a taste of Bengali food along with Indian food if that's what you prefer.
